Top 5 Wedding Themes of 2019

Hi Lovelies,

Cate Here!

This week I want to discuss the top 5 wedding themes for 2019. Let me know what you think!

One: Geometric and Greenery

Personally, I am adoring these geometric designs, backdrops, and centrepieces that are in this year. It creates such an interesting dynamic, in such an elegant way. If you’ve read “my favourites” post you’ll already know how obsessed I currently am with the greenery. The more the better! These two things compliment each other so well, they can be used in so many unique and fun ways! Will you be including any geometric shapes into your wedding day?

Two: Night Weddings

I don’t know about you, but I am all about the twinkle lights! Will those ever be out of style? I definitely hope not. Night weddings are so dreamy and romantic, I think they are amazing. I love how night weddings create an intimate and passionate atmosphere. Also, they make for stunning photos. The best part? You won’t have to get up early to get your hair and makeup done! Sleep in hunnie, you deserve it!

What do you think? Are you feeling the night wedding vibes?

Three: Dark and Moody Boho

I am beyond excited that this dark and moody boho trend has continued to grow! Give me ALL the moody vibes; especially at a night wedding - match made in heaven? I think yes. Navy, burgundy, emerald I’m loving all of it! Which moody colour is your current favourite? The boho tones create such a different kind of romance that is absolutely stunning, and swoon worthy.

Will you be having a moody boho wedding?!

Four: Pampas Grass and Earthy

This is a fairly new trend entering 2019, but was seen EVERYWHERE at Wedluxe this year. I have a feeling this is going to be a huge trend towards the middle of this year, and likely into 2020 also. Pampas grass brings the “earthy” in without adding an overwhelming amount of greens. It is also beautiful outdoors, and holds up amazingly (and looks beautiful) in the wind. Even adding bits of it into a bouquet can really help bring your earthy vision to life.

Do you like how neutral and versatile pampas grass is?!

Five: Colourful

(seeing a lot of pink and orange tones)

Both Kat and I are partial to simple, monochrome colours. However, we are L O V I N G that colour is finally being reintroduced to weddings! Colour can be such a simple things to make your wedding truly unique and personal. “Living Coral” is Pantone’s official colour of the year, so we will be seeing a lot of that and variations of it.

Will we be seeing any coral, pink, or orange at your wedding?!

We made it through the Top 5 Trends of 2019! Do you like any of these trends, and will you be including any in your wedding day? Let us know! xx Cate
